Welcome African American History Month now known as World History Month.

Moore, Barak Obama, Kamala Harris, Benjamin Bannaker, Crispus Attucks, Nat Turner, Denmark Vesey, Sojourner Truth, Shirley Chisolm, Jesse Jackson, Martin Luther King, Huey Newton, Eldrige Cleaver, Rap Brown, Stokley Carmichael, Noble Drew Ali, James Baldwin, Father Divine, Daddy Grace, Ron Karenga, Queen Mother Ardleigh Moore, Amir Baraka, Ralph Abernathy, Olmecs, Tousant L'ovuture,  El Negro, A J Rodgers,Roy Innis, Ivan Van Sertima, Ashra Kwesi, Richard Allen, Roxanne Jones, Osceola, Poppa Doc, Baby Doc, Thurgood Marshall, Clarence Thomas, Berry Gordy, Ben Carson, Jack Johnson, Hank Aaron, Muhammad Ali, Jackie Robinson, Bob Marley, Adam Clayton Powell, Colon Powell. Rosa Parks, Madam C J Walker,  Frederick Mc Kinley Jones, Michael  Jordan,  Colored Troops, Buffalo Soldiers, Tuskegee Airmen,

The above mentioned figures in American History are fundamentally African. It took me almost a month just to write them down. I guess with some practice we could probably study them in an abbreviated month like February.  Previously African American History Month was known as Negro History Week, thanks to Carter G Woodson.  This education usually featured two people.  George Washington Carver and Booker T Washington.

The history lesson would usually start with a brief description of George Washington Carvers early life followed by some information about him inventing peanut butter or something.  And if we had any more time left in the month this would be followed by a few informational tid-bits about Booker T Washington pulling his self up by his boot straps. To wrap it up any remaining time would be applied to John Brown and his associate Frederick Douglas.
With education like this it is no wonder that we have extended, race problems. I stated in a previous article that America teaches fairy tales in place of history. We have George Washington famous for chopping down cherry trees and Abraham Lincoln living in a log cabin and in his spare time he freed some slaves.  Give me a break. African history, is the history of the planet. All people in America and every other country are Africans. The idea that we still use the word race to describe the three fundamental peoples of the planet has been blown up by DNA, archaeology and other scientific studies. This information states that there are no subdivisions in the species. There are no Negroes, Caucasians, or Mongols. just homo sapiens.
These artificial divisions do nothing but propagate friction by pitting one group against another. While studying to write this article I find that this model of giving little educational tidbits out to different groups has been propagated all through the calendar. We have the following:

Filipino American  History Month
LGBT History Month
Women's History Month

The Griot Mr Joe Becton

Help "Lyn the Warrior" beat cancer over the hump!

Just when we thought it was safe to get back into the  American health system Covid-19 shows up and reminds us of American  exceptionalism. The circus atmosphere of the previous administration (Trump administration) with talks of using bleach, heat in side the body, the hiring of crackpots at the CDC, all speak to the concept of American exceptionalism. Following that, there were rumors of a warp speed roll out of vaccines that would put the pandemic to bed and what do you know the people we in trusted to handle situations such as that flubbed the roll out, didn't buy enough of the vaccine, had no plan to get the vaccine into peoples arms, can't vaccinate teachers and on top of all of this exceptionalism never seem to deliver the amount of vaccine that they promised.

But people that have lived in America know this is the famous American exceptionalism, read American corruptionism. Vaccines have been "misplaced or lost" and no one can account for the missing vaccines. I can tell you where the missing vaccines went, the black market. Let's hope Mr. Biden can correct some of these Trumpian problems.

Which brings me to the reason I am writing. It was brought to my attention by the people at So Sexy Magazine that an associate of mine who resides in the big apple is under going treatment for breast cancer. This is her second time in this situation. And what do you know our exceptional health system is doing it again. But it is not all bad, The people at So Sexy Magazine has set up a Go Fund Me Site to make up for the short comings of the health & welfare system.

Those of you who still have money in your pocket should check out the Go Fund Me page for Ms. Lyn Harris. Her story is a story that is told all to frequently in the land of the free and home of the brave. Read Lyn's story and if you can make a contribution make one. Who knows one day Lynn may be able to come to your rescue.
