MalkNaz

Malknaz The Next Big Thing

Malknaz, the new artist from Wilson, NC, is bringing his magnetic energy to the hip hop scene. He has been in the game as an underground artist for some time. First rapping, then singing, now combining both as one of the latest - and some say the best - rap singers. Malknaz’s alluring personality and ability to grab the audience’s attention makes him stand apart from his contemporaries. This is because his tracks  cater to everyone simultaneously, even those with completely different tastes in music.

On his new EP Friday the 13th, Malknaz promises listeners an upgrade from past projects. They can expect to enjoy a melodic flow with striking wordplay, and captivating stories,

His strength of bold yet beautiful blending styles on tracks is a direct reflection of Malknaz’s upbringing. He is heavily cultured. Being directly connected with his family’s Guyanese roots and growing up under the influence of his mother’s Brooklyn, New York's state of mind, combined with being  raised in the church enhanced Malkinaz’s diverse influences, molded his artistic principles. He fell in love with the creative process and church also taught him to level up, as he watched musicians put in hours of constant repetition during choir rehearsal to reach perfection in their performances.

This worldview in his personal life translated to the major impact he seeks to have during his tenure in the music industry. He is striving to collaborate with entertainers across demographics, as he expressed that the goal is to make hits with “every great artist in every genre, just so I can be that person to set that new bar that is to be reached.” In the future, he aspires to get on the track with Lil Baby, J. Cole, Kendrick Lamar, Jadakass, and Jay-Z. Those who inspired him and “made him want to get that wave and that flow to get his voice heard” were Sean Paul, Mr. Vegas, Styles P., Jadakiss, Lil Wayne, and J. Cole. He gives major props to Rihanna and Nigerian artist Burna Boy, who he credited as major motivations for being everything that the culture represents and embodies.

Just like his background, Malknaz has a diverse body of work that is streaming on all platforms. He is hungry and even made over 50 tracks during quarantine alone. He has free music that includes hip hop with complimentary Afrobeats, reggae, R&B, and more. Be sure to search ibumpit.com and audiomack.com for Virgo Season Volumes 1 and 2 as well as a large collection of tunes showcasing his talent and growth within his artistry.

Malknaz leaves viewers with these final words of wisdom: “While the world is being what it is, be in this world but not of this world because you could easily get caught up.” The world is ever changing and now the stakes are higher for all of us, so we should all take a page out of his book and create or otherwise be productive to prepare ourselves for what is coming next.
